Wanna experience summer once again? Wanna experience a truly world-class beauty of nature? Well, you don't have to go far from the country to experience it and spend a lot of money on it. Just a cheap adventure, but an experience which is really worth it is all you need. Just here in Bicol lies a natural beauty that you've got to experience. If you're a foreigner, then the beauty of the place is what you've got to try about.

On Saturday, May 28, me and my colleagues in Infinit-O has tried something different for our team building activity that we've just decided in a spur-of-the-moment few days before- the Subic Beach, Calintaan Island experience. At around 5:30 in the morning, we left Daraga, Albay to go to Matnog. Along the road, the fun started to roll over as teasing and nagging fly over the van. After almost 3 hours of the road trip, we have arrived at Matnog port. There, we transferred a boat going to Calintaan Island. Along the way, we've witnessed the beauty of the place- the islands that surround the area, the mangrove trees around, the clear blue ocean to where the corals and rocks beneath are almost seen, the fishes that fly over the water and the very fresh air.

Soon, we packed up our things and leave as sunset is approaching. We still got to travel back to Legazpi. So long, Subic Dako Beach. Maybe next time, the small one is what I got to try about.

The Bicol Region really has a lot of beautiful beaches to be proud of. One of these is the Subic Beach of Matnog, Sorsogon. Subic beach is subdivided into Subic Dako (big) and Subic Limit (small). It is located in the southernmost part of Sorsogon, very near the province of Samar.

Our boat headed to the Juag Lagoon Fish Sanctuary, our first stop for that day. We've given Php100 (for the whole team already) for the feeding of a colorful school of fish in the lagoon and maybe for the maintenance of the place to the owners. There was a variety of fish, I'm just not particular of their kinds. It's just so good watching them being fed and swimming while we're approaching. Maybe it's another thing if we could have experienced swimming with them. (Well on my part, let the life vest be worn. LOL!)

After that, we continued the adventure to Subic Dako Beach. As we arrived, we were really astonished by the island. The pinkish white sand is really, really amazing. That was the first time I have experienced white sand beach in my life. There, we ate the food that we brought with us and went on the first part of the swimming and wandering around the place.

Later, we went to Calintaan Cave, which is only on the other side of the island. It's another beautiful place to go to on the island. There were lots of stones made like towers that previous visitors to the place have made. Of course, we too made our own and made wishes for ourselves as they say it's part of the experience when you're there. The place is really cool- the walls, the stones, the view itself- really refreshing.

After there, we went to a cliff near the place. We were 7 who went to try cliff diving. All 5 of my colleagues have made it already to jump off the cliff, yet after so many attempts, I still have not continued. There were things that bothered me whether to go or not. The fear of making a wrong turn is what really kept on hindering me. Even others are already pushing me, encouraging me with their words to go through it, even if I got trust in them that they'll help me out when I fell already (knowing that I don't know how to swim), I just can't help the negative thoughts that kept on annoying me that time. I was really disappointed with myself. (Still, one thing for sure we have proved, our friendship is still solid, right Joan? We both didn't make it. LOL)

After that, back to Subic Beach. Enjoy the rest of the day- swimming, chit-chatting with one another, unlimited picture taking and other funny activities we've done. Fun, fun, fun. At the end of the day, the experience was really evident on our sun-kissed skin. That doesn't matter because it was really a day to get out of the stress in the workplace. It may not happen the same way over again. Really worth it!
