I have been a writer (Hubber) for them for almost a year and I could tell that I have the adequate experience to tell you how Hubpages really works when you give time and effort on it.

Here is my monthly summary earning for the 2019 HubPages earning program. It is not much but it's an extra income since I don't post anything or write articles there since I am already focused on my personal websites.
